Watsu Program
Watsu expert - Dr. Serge Landrieu from Belgium, will act as a 3rd party consultant offering treatments, classes and consultations for the resort’s guests.
As an extension of the resort’s Spa program, Dr. Landrieu will offer a unique Watsu program in the hotel’s Salt Pool. Dr. Landrieu is definitely unique in his field of work and unique to Koh Samui, if not Thailand. The combination of KC’s Salt Pool and his knowledge will open a whole new range of Treatments on the Island.
Watsu is fast becoming a treatment of choice in dealing with chronic pain and a widening range of conditions. It has been welcomed as a primary modality in Rehabilitation by Aquatic Therapists and is taught in universities around the world. In addition to the physical benefits derived from the movements and stretches warm water facilitates, Watsu's power to reduce stress underlies both its effectiveness with those conditions in which stress is implicated and its growing popularity among the general public.
Many come out of a Watsu saying they were more relaxed than they have ever been. Some say it was one of the most powerful experiences in their life. Recently an Asian Spa Association voted Watsu the best of all treatments offered in Asian spas.
In addition to Watsu, Dr. Landrieu will also support KC Resorts with Life Coaching, Neuro Linguistic Programs, Food4Life, Stop Smoking Programs. He will also be offering Pilates classes and Aqua-aerobics and Myotherapie. Private Yoga classes entailing Hatha, Nidra, Kundalini, Iyengar, meditative and Pranayama will also be available.
Mr. Andreas Kraemer, General Manager, KC Resorts and Over Water Villas commented, “Health related tourism is fast-becoming a growing market segment for luxury resorts and Spas across Asia. As more and more people look to relieve stress and chronic pain in a more natural way, our joining with Dr. Landrieu to provide Watsu and an extensive range of life-improvement program for our guests, is part of our holistic strategy to develop services that resonate with our guests.”
